As of now its free on Airtel if you are on Unlimited plan like Rs. 599 per month.

Is it confirmed, do they charge extra for 3G or is it included in BIS plan?? When i called customer care they told BIS and 3G data plans can not be clubbed together.

Yes Jeevan, for Airtel 3G along with BIS is free, Sachin and Venu along with others are using it already. CC usually have pretty sleek knowledge and let's not discuss about them..

Using it on a samsung tab , they charging Rs 450/- a monthfor 3G instead of the Rs 99?- recharge on EDGE

I have a BB bold 9700 wid os 5.0 . i hve relocated to bnglr and took a airtel sim... i tried to activate 3G services nd took the 3g package for 450 rs...callled the customer care....thy said ...services cant be activated on ur BB 9700 and said sum crap. I was happily using BSNL ealier wid 3G services...unlmt internet as well as BBM.....can anyone advice me how to get dis activated on airtel????

Its possible bb service plan to 3g...just contact to cusomer care..... Airtel users can avail of the Airtel 3G services through existing SIM cards

Utkarsh, are you in Bangalore? Wanted to confirm since i am also planning to buy a 3G BB and want 3G. IS this available only for postpaid 599 plan? what about prepaid 399 plan?
