got confused while selecting the plans..infact i alread activated BB plan which is 'prosumer unlimited@rs.599' and also the gprs 199 with 120mb free at 20ps 50kb -chn.. Given this scneario, any idea which plan would be worthwhile to avail 3G services,Hi speed internet and BB mails.

here is the plan list got from customer care after sending 3G again to 121.. am struck here to proceed further.. could you help Pl...

Friends,I have just activated 3G on Airtel (PLAN: 100/- p/m 200MB data and 3p/10KB for extra download).I also have a 599 plan of unlimited browsing. I called the customer care for clarification on how do these 2 plans work together. The clarification that i got from customer care is as follows:1) When i use 3G on my handset i am in my 599 plan of unlimited internet with 3G speed.2) When the symbol at the network changes from 3G to EDGE, it just means that the Airtel signal is shifting within itself.3) Even if i have a symbol of 3G, my Blackberry services (BBM and Mail) are working (Checked personally).4) When i use my Blackberry as a modem my 200MB usage will be calculated and all 3G charges will be applicable for data serveices.Has anyone got the same response from Customer Care?If this is not true and anyone has verified it then let me know.

@ naksbb: You just got him the other way round. Right now airtel is providing unlimited data transfers on 3G for tethering. That means, the 200MB of free data is for use on your blackberry device only. You can use you device as a modem with your laptop and transfer unlimited data. The only catch is (its pretty much known to all bb users) that you wont be able to use your services on your device when it is connected as a modem i.e., you cant send or receive messenger texts. Calls and normal texts can still be used. Any data transferred in excess of 200MB on your device will be charged as mentioned. Happy 3Ging!!

hi vijay. Sorry for a late reply. Are you sure this is the message you got after sending 3G to 121 ?
Airtel does not have these many plans in 3G. Please deactivate your 3G services and activate again.
If you get mails with heavy attachments, I'd suggest you to go with the Rs.200 rental plan which gives you a data transfer of 500 MB.
If its just text mails, a 100 rupee plan shud be just great !

As you must be aware i was planning a 3G BB handset. I will be a PB shortly as well as a 3G BB. In Airtel network, i plan to take the 599 plan and hope to get 3G in Bangalore.

I have a question:
If i browse in my PB using BB bridge, i understand it is not considered as tethering, but browsing in the BB itself. Correct?

@BBfan , yeah thats not tethering.. It'll use ur BB BIS network only.. its as good as surfing on ur BB.
