Thread: 9900 7.1 os

Its better, but still a lil buggy hangs a lil , I am not using BB anymore as my active device and its just lies like a testing device,

1. Batter improved
2. NFC good
3. Apps stable
4. BBM speeds Rejoiced
5. Camera a lil laggy at times
6. Data Transmission Better

I'm using a bb 9900 running 7.1.0.342 (Official version) - i am an avid updater, i need to have the latest OS always, even if its the leaked version.
this version seems to be the best till now.
better browser
mush faster UI
camera is better, but could be even better
memory handling is much better (I almost never go below 100MB free space)

Now the most important of them all... battery life.
I love the bb9900 for the fast processor and the bigger screen and keyboard but the battery life has been very disappointing.
earlier it used to last me from 8am till 5pm and needed charging at office.
now with the 7.1.0.342 version, it lasts me from 8am till about 8.30-9pm (its on RED by 8pm)
My Usage : facebook, twitter, foursquare, whats app, bbm, atleast 10-15 sms's and about 50-60 emails per day & about 20-30mins of talk time.
ALSO REMEMBER, i am on 3G all the time.

I am sure if i were to use it on EDGE, i would probably get a few more hours also.

All in all, an improvement from the first few OS updates, but still if i am at work and have to go out straight from work for dinner or a movie, i am sure to charge my phone for sometime before leaving office.

PS : i have purchased an extended 3500mAh battery for my bb9900. Will post pics and review soon.
