Thread: My blackberry app world not working.

it says "The data service is not operational" . though i have not subscribed to any bb pack in vodafone i m trying to connect via wifi.

Are u able to Browse using wifi?? which OS u r running on? I am assuming u r having 9300 and on OS 6.

I have curve 9300 and it is os 5. i cant even upgrade my os..need help. first wen i got the phone yesterday i was able to browse. but wen i inserted simcard it stopped working

wen i connect my bb to upgrade it just shows bb messenger and google talk. i cant find ios 5 or 6 in the app loader

I think that you can't upgrade your OS unless and until you've subscribed to BIS at least once. I remember when I'd brought my new BB I too had faced the same problem.

But there are some forums online. where they say if you've shrinked ur OS and wiped ur device prior to loading a new OS. you can update your device OS w/o a valid blackberry BIS plan.
