Thread: cannot download application after upgrading Os

Hello friends..
I use blackberry 9780 nd I upgraded my Os to 6.0.0.668 but the problem I now face is dat I cannot download applications from app world as well as 4m the main blackberry site.... It shows me the following error-
"909 Application authentication failure"
I badly need ur help guys.... Plz plz plz help me out......

what about normal browsing and downloads from pages like mediafire? it could be either bad OS load or some settings problem, you can try deleting service books and requesting new ones also re-registering on host-router should help. if that too fails try fresh installation after wiping device.

I had a bbm chat with Bhagyesh, he was not able to do it on prev OS as well. (Well thats what I remember he said). Couldnt think of anything apart from installing OS so asked him to post it here.

Bhagyesh: yeah try to reinstall the OS again. Start from the scratch, get the new file downloaded from net and install that. 6.0.0.704 is available for download now.

@varadj83 @bhagyeshmodi I looked this up on the net.

It seems as if he's downloaded some app which has a Verisign signed JAD file, which is slightly different from the Blackberry Signed JAD files.

Generally app makers sign the COD files, as signed JAD file creates problems. This has been reported by many app developers on the BB App Development Support Forums.

Ask him to do a step by step un-install of apps then try re-download any app from app-world or from the BB website to try n narrow down to the culprit app.

I know this is a tiresome approach but Trial and Error is the only way available here.

Alternatively @bhagyeshmodi list all the apps you've got installed on your BB. If other 9780 users have got simmilar apps and ARE NOT HAVING PROBLEMS
then that will narrow down the no. of apps you've to un-install.
