what is special about blackberry??

If you are a 15 year old who wants to play games on your mobile, BB is not meant for you. Its for the world which socializes or is professional. Everything that an Android can do, a BB can, but definitely not lame enuf to have apps which repeat stuff back at you, with a funny accent. App world is limited to what you need for day to day use. IMHO, anyone who criticizes the App world in BB, is just frustrated to pay 50 bucks for an App but he is willing to buy a phone for 30,000 bucks.

A superb keyboard(and mind you, it ROCKS), a super email client, maps, chat, music, Facebook, Twitter, FM radio, docs, A2DP, and some poker to spend your time on. What else do you need in life. When I travel abroad, I dont need to spend any additional money to get my office emails/BBM/internet. Combine it with a Playbook and you can do all your casual stuff there, if need be.

So well, an Android is an Android, and a BB is a BB. It gives you that professional feel, whereas Andriod is now everywhere and gives you that casual look.

All in all, when you are in that all important client meeting, you better not flash your Micromax, it might make you look cheap.

well after using BB for about an year now, I can tell you that I am a complete addict. total crackberry.. either you dont have a BB phone and are faking this post, or have not used the BIS on your BB for FB, email, twitter, bbm.

the overall experience is highly addictive.. other than this I've never seen any useful apps on other mobile platform apart from some silly games or apps.. nothing which i miss on my phone..

use your phone properly for 1-2 months.. you will realize its power.

Very interesting post.

I just want to say that I love what I do and I do what I love WITH MY BB.

There is no comparison of security of your date with any other OS, be it iOS, Android and Symbion.

Dude if u think payin 400 bucks is expensive , I'd say blackberry is not for u !!

I have personally used all Symbian, Android and now Blackberry.

The email experience on Blackberry is unmatched.
Integration of apps with each other is absolutely great.

There is nothing compared to Blackberry. I have just fallen in love with BB.

After all the comments from experienced members of the group, you are not convinced, think you should try android yourself and feel the difference.

dude, i have a 9700 which is almost the same as your 9780.......just compare the specs to a sony xperia pro!! cost is about the same, look at the specs
....camera: 8mp vs 5mp
....processor: 1Ghz vs 600Mhz
....apps: 500000 vs 30000
....touch and qwerty vs only qwerty
....flash support
....accelerometer, magnetometer, compass etc.
....3d maps
.........there are many more things

when you can get email and 1Gb internet on an iphone for just 98 bucks, why to pay 400?? the new os 5 has imessages and much more
on bb, we cant get any email for 98 bucks

dude, im not faking......i have a 9700 and an iphone 4. bis costs 400 on bb, while on iphone we get all features including email for just 98 bucks. fb doesnt work without bis....even if it works, the iphone fb app is loads better as the bb app keeps hanging and we cant access groups etc

apps, games, facebook, maps, docs and music are all way better in the android.
why would you pay 400 bucks when you can access all the features for just 98 bucks on android or iOS??
btw i dont have a micromax rotf

i have already tried out the weekly 100 plan many times....what can the blackberry do which the iphone cant do?? ok, you get bbm, but what more?? mail is all the same
