Thread: Is it posible to unlock and use in India with Reliance and Tata?

Change from sprint's software to reliance or Tata's version wont hamper your phones operations in anyway.It will work the same way it has to.

Once you change it, try asking them to feed in your number on the handset.
Keep us posted,since I have yet to know of anyone using a CDMA nonsim phone from the USA unlocked and using on Indian networks.

I am very glad to receive your reply but my dear friend I would like to inform you that when I downloaded the Reliance OS from the link which you given to me than I installed successfully into my Blackberry device.But after doing all these thing in my device still showing is stupid Sprint...Now day by day I am become hopeless man and don't know what to do with these two Sprint Blackberry Curve 9330 and 8530 nonsim based CDMA smartphones.Hope you will try to help me again.If you want to talk with me than please give me a miscall or send SMS to 09321386405.

If you are talking about Sprint showing at Boot up, it will always be there.
Now try going to Reliance shop and ask them if they can transfer the number to your phone.

@arindam CDMA works on ESN or MEID of the handset which is like IMEI in GSM. So to get the handset working the ESN or MEID should be registered in the operator database.

In india you can get to register your handset ESN or MEID with Reliance(for procedure mail me at bbfreak81@gmail.com) but not with TATA, but there is a catch here.

If you do get to register your BB with Reliance then calls, sms and data will work but not BIS

As you guyz told me to do, Now the fact is I did exactly what you said but one more interesting thing is yesterday I saw one guy who have tata CDMA network in his CDMA Blackberry Curve 8530 nonsim based. when I ask that man than I come to know my CDMA Blackberry Curve 8530 is from sprint and that guy have tata. But both the phone have one thing which is NON-SIM-Based. As Ritesh told me that after installing if sprint come than nothing to worry. But Ritesh I went to the Reliance shop and told me they can't. You know guyz whenever I visited in Reliance shop for all this there I saw one thing and everytime they try to Dial something *228 and after that they told they can't cuz in my mobile showing is CAN NOT CONNECT.
Having such nice friendz like you all I feel very glad and proud of myself.

Dear all my friends at last I have learned a lession that here in our country (INDIA) no any service provider want to help people like me. Yeah friends I said people because there are so many people who suffer like me and the highlight is many guyz ask me that what to do man??

Oh! God please send any one to help us otherwise please stop making sprint blackberry curve 8530 and 9330 non sim based mobile.

an update from my side.

reliance has stopped registering foreign ESN/MEID so it's not possible to register any handset

i have been receiving a lot of emails from members about foreign handset registration i couldn't reply to any of the mail(for reason mentioned above)

some here would argue that reliance is in fact registering handset then please verify with reliance before taking any step(they had severe problem with their servers)

Myself UDAYAKUMAR BANGALE from pune city India.I have purchased sprint blackberry curve 8530 non sim based CDMA mobiles from ebay . Now my problem is that when I tried to upload my reliance indian numbers into my sprint blackberry curve 8530 non sim based mobile than I come to know that I can't. i tried in all reliance out let they are telling the MEID num is not in there data base i am not able to activate my mobile kindly help me . I hope someone will consider me and understand my situation and want to help because to be very frankly speaking is now I am going through in very bad situation.
