unable to upgrade to os 6.0.0.650

I have 9780. My device suffers from the stutterin problem as all the other 9780. So I tried to upgrade my os to 6.0.0.650 through apploader but was unable to do so. I downloaded it and installed it in my dekstop. I deleated the vendor file too. But at the dialogue box of instalation wizard I was unable to find my os 6.0.0.650 system software at the application list....kindly help me upgrade my os... Also I have bought a factory unlocked device 4m uk. My cell is still in waranty period. Can I give it here in india to service my device in warranty?....

Sorry for replying late, not sure how did most of us missed this query. I am sure ur BB must be fine by now. Next time try to post the query under more relevant category. For eg we have category of 9780 where there are more chances of getting quicker replies.

And as far as ur warranty query is concern, UK warranty wont work here in India. Redington is the RIM distributor and service partner here, and they provide warranty only if u have purchased BB from them.

thnx for the reply. better late than never. and i still couldn't upgrade my BB.. the problem i m facing is when i tried to upgrade it through app loader, but the problem is i couldn't find my os software at the device application selection box for installation. its high time now coz i have tried everything. i tried to upgrade my BB through desktop manager nd it successfully upgraded to v6.0.0.600. but the problem i m facing is when i try to download app it says.ur os is unsupported. so the thing is i cant even download apps now. plz help me out asap.

Its one of the majot issues many of us are facing these days. Try steps below:

Uninstall all OS's on PC, uninstall dm, run ccleaner to delete all stale bits from registry, reboot and run ccleaner to clean registry again and reinstall dm and the os u intend installing.delete vendor.xml and then connect phone and install the os.

If this also doesnt work then try installing another version of OS and see if its getting detected. We have see few files not working properly.
Also we have seem sometimes leaked OS wont get detected, chances of happening this with official OS is almost nil.
