Thread: BlackBerry Messenger 6.1.0.70 Now Available in App World

RIM has pushed out an update to BlackBerry Messenger, bringing it to version 6.1.0.70. This is likely to be the version we saw as 6.1.0.68 in Beta Zone not to long ago. The changelog that had was:

• You couldn’t open locations in BlackBerry Maps that you sent or recieved – FIXED
• The Group Updates section didn’t show a red star on new items – FIXED

If you do not immediately see the update, you can hit Alt+RST to clear App World’s cache and refresh it. Otherwise, you can look to download it in App World here.

yet again ...no useful updates....the 1st one is no use coz v dnt have supp 4 bb maps in india...and the other 1 can hardly make a diff!... still updated!

@spidy777 But those who didn't participated in Beta, this is good update.

There have been issues after installation, where all open chat window will get the same chat message again.
For e.g if I am chatting with someone and that chat is not ended, if I upgrade the version the person will get the same chat message again... not a big issue though..
It wud have been bigger and worse if it had sent wrong chats to ppl
