for quite sometime i am using Network Traffic Control app with similar features as this one Free Network Traffic Control - Download Network Traffic Control - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World even though i am having unlimited BIS plan. app is good & light on memory too.
well why i use this kind of app :-
1. sometime when i need to check whether particular app is using particular type of network connection i.e radio or wifi. e.g. for steaming video i don't want my BB to use radio (some operators charge separately & rather too heavily if your use gprs for streaming even though you are on unlimited plan)
2. to check the internet speed of particular connection, (since there is no app to measure it). this app doesn't give uploading & downloading rate but one can pretty much ascertain the amount of data in & out in that given time. e.g. to check how fast is egde or 3g connection in certain area.
3. just to surprise my self that how much data i consumed in specific time
