Thread: Blackberr without BIS

Hi friends
Blackberry without BIS/BES is just unimaginable. BBM & Push Mails is their strength.
But Blackberry without is BIS is far more useful & only Blackberry branded apps will not run without BIS apart from BBM & Push Mail.
Here i am sharing my favorite Without BIS Can Do type of app, which even BIS user can use during Service Outage, these apps very well work on tcp/ip (normal gprs plan) &/or wifi connections

Socialscope --Social Networking -- (Twitter- multiple account support, FB, Foursquare & flicker) (this app is very close to me, one stop solution)
UberSocial -twitter only
Logicmail -Email -----Free LogicMail 2.0 IMAP/POP3 Email Client (woks without BIS)
Google maps - m.google.com/maps
Google Sync - m.google.co.in/sync - to sync contact & calender with google account
XPRSS - RSS feed reader -- Free XPRSS - Download XPRSS - Free Apps from BlackBerry App World
Blackberry App Word--- works on wifi only
Opera Browser -- works on wifi & tcp/ip
Blackberry Browser -- works on wifi only

There are lot many good app available in App World which can be work without BIS.

If you know any such apps do share in this thread & make this thread as one stop collection of such apps.

@deepak i wud suggest some more apps to u tht work without bis:

Bookmyshow (Check movie timings and book tickets)
UC Browser (So far the Best mobile browser in the WORLD for all platforms!!..yes i mean it...just give it a try...best part is its download)
Weatherbug/accuweather
Scoremobilefc
Cricinfo

@spidy777 thanks for adding more apps list, i would suggest you to edit the post & share, as far as possible, download links for all the apps & brief introduction for last three apps.

yes UC Browser it is fastest one & good to browse but, no offense meant, i am not at all comfortable to log-in to any web page from the browser that is owned or controlled by Chines, just never trust with them over privacy matters this is my opinion/phobia only so my modus operandi is browse & downloads but never log-in or share personal details or location base data over UC Browser.

its my pleasure to help as far as possible. hope you are enjoying socalscope to the fullest. adding list/people/group/search/hashtag to the tab is my favorite feature.
do share 4 invite you'll received in your socialscope app. with others.

u scared of chinese!!..lol no worries...i understand privacy does matter....and yes im enjoying SocialScope !!..discovering new everyday in the app...and how do u send the invi??...im searching but cant find it??...

you will get option in the menu Send Invite in socialscope. it may take sometime to received that option. do keep checking.

nice share @deepak but i tried the socialscope invitation didnt get 1 on their website...if u can spare 1 pls do send!!...
