Thread: How To: Download Youtube Videos into Blackberry

One of the ways of downloading Youtube videos onto Blackberry is by downloading it first on your PC/Mac and then transferring it to the SD card.

If you want to download the video (mp4 format) from the device, do the following

1. Install the Nux Youtube Downloader App - http://bb.ibnux.net/downloader/hacke...Downloader.jad
2. Turn on Wi-Fi and go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
3. Search for the video that you want to download and play the video. Use the Blackberry menu key and "copy the page address" (this should be http not rtsp)

Now go to the Nux Downloader App, select Add URL. The copied page address should already be there. Input a file name (with .mp4 suffix)




Click on "Start" to start the download. Note that you can turn off the Wi-Fi. The tool needs Wi-Fi to be on only to open the youtube video in the browser and get the http address !!

Another option to download Youtube videos via BIS (Without Wifi/Wap) is using http://m.vuclip.com/

1st step, simply search your videos on the page using the search bar, select it & wait for it to process. Once done you can simply download in on your Media Card in 3gpp format.

Or if you have any specific Youtube video, just copy paste it's page address on the search bar & follow the same steps as mentioned above.

Try it, it works. Now no need to pay extra charges for Wap to see streaming Videos.

Pratit, can you confirm if youtube videos can be downloaded via vuclip or is only the videos on vuclip
if it does, then great, because the method i described works only with OS 6

Videos on Vuclip can be any Youtube Video. Once you have the Youtube link, just paste it on the Search Bar of Vuclip.com, you get the same Video saying it's reference from Youtube.

And because you are downloading the Video like any attachment & not streaming it, it doesn't use Wap.

Both BIS & Wifi can be used in this case as per convenience.

I don't think that simple software that we use works on blackberry.i install so many apps for it, but mostly i use Nux Youtube Downloader App it works well. but mostly i put videos in my blackberry from my pc. many time i convert youtube videos like instrumental or cover's to mp3 with youtube to mp3 converter and then i put them in blackberry

Yes, the way to download YouTube videos to computer firstly, then transfer to blackberry with compatible format is what I prefer to do. Because it's very fast to record many videos from YouTube and many other popular video websites including Vimeo, Yahoo video, Dailymotion, MTV. It is YouTube video recorder but it not only record videos from YouTube, there are more websites for you to choose.
