Thread: How To: Install Hindi fonts on Blackberry

Support for Hindi and other Indic fonts started appearing in some of the OS builds released by Redington and Indian carriers (vodafone)

To install Hindi fonts, download the attached COD file and install the same using a tool like bbsak

net_rim_font_indic.cod

Thanks to the users on Google India group (especially Adi) for finding this out !!

Note: This COD will work only on OS 6

i think this cod isn't working for OS 5.2

Hope some solution comes out soon for BB OS 5.0

Most of asian operators official OS 6 releases are bundled with indic font. I upgraded my BB9300 with Airtel released OS 6.0.0.461. It came with Indic fonts. However, upgrade did not install them. After upgrade connect BB to computer and start Desktop manager. Select Application. It will display all available components both installed and not-installed. You can select Indic fonts. If you want deselect other asian languages e.g. chinese etc. that will save space.

Whenever i connect my device it shows various language in my desktop manager, and i have clicked + also on indic fonts but then when i click APPLY, it doesnot install the language, instead it again reload all the applications

can anyone help me with this ?
